iPod Photo 60 GB & 40 GB
Apple Computer Inc. CEO Steve Jobs launched an enhanced iPod, one that both plays music and displays photographs.
<>The new iPod Photo has a color screen and the ability to store up to 25,000 digital photos. Jobs argued that competing devices wouldn't catch on because they're too bulky, their screen is too small, and there isn't much video content to choose from. He predicted that the "next big thing" is to merge music with digital photos, which are not copyrighted and are in abundance. >The new iPod Photo went on sale Tuesday. The 40-gigabyte model costs $499, and the 60-gigabyte model costs $599. Among its features, it can present photographs in a slide-show format, set to music, as well as display them on television through a cable.
